Gasthaus Honigsack in Herxheim am Berg

Were to eat at the inn. The food was good, but nothing special. We were a little late, so we felt a little bit hurried. The recommended wine was delicious.

We ate here - good wines and very attentive service. The food was homemade and enough for us. There was a greeting from the kitchen as well as a small dessert in the form of small cakes - very nice and tasty. Recommended for us!

After a wine hike (11.07.2020), we wanted to eat something somewhere in Herxheim. Since nothing else was open or was full, we were eating something at the honey sack. Food selection very manageable, max. 10. dishes. The portions are really a bit small for these prices. Side salad is unfortunately not included. To the hospitality: either someone had a bad day or just didn't feel like it anymore. When asked by a guest whether you could get additional potato salad, this was negated, because otherwise it would not be enough for the rest. When clearing the plates, it was said to hurry up, as the plates are needed again. You felt a little uncomfortable. Conclusion: food really good, price completely excessive for the size of the portions and the way the food does not really make it a pleasure.

Today we were with Fam Stehle with 6 people to eat, there was in a very cozy and traditional ambience as a starter the best pumpkin soup, which I have ever eaten in my life and as a main course goose breast or leg classical with dark sauce, homemade dumplings, Chestnuts and red cabbage. For espresso refined celestial mini-kitchen. All six of us have praised the food as PHENOMENAL. In view of this quality not expensive, but rather inexpensive. The service was perfectly friendly, happy, funny and confident. Clear recommendation.

I have known this guesthouse for 23 years. I’m not there often, but regularly. Personally, I really like their kitchen. The hostess herself prepares it. I strongly advise you to try it. More than sure, many will like it. Great place👍🤗

Cozy restaurant & inn in the middle of the beautiful wine town of Herxheim. Very good Palatinate cuisine with a changing special menu. Extremely friendly staff & owner. A little expensive, hence a star deduction. It is and remains a tip and will be visited again :)

The owner and his grandchild provided great service and hospitable environment. The food was just as wonderful.
